Creake Abbey, nestling in rolling hills and only 10 minutes by car from the coast, offers locals and visitors a destination for wonderful walks across ancient water meadows.
Walks
Check the fields opposite the car park for barn owls, keep an eye out for the sheep or cows and you may even see bullfinches, buzzards, English or French partridge and flocks of Pink-footed Geese flying overhead in typical ‘V’ formation. Rare for Norfolk, the walk takes in a viewpoint at a lofty 50 meters above sea level with views towards Burnham Overy Staithe and its harbour, windmill and marshes.
